Five years ago Griff found an ape on the Docks carrying more Alpha than anyone could account for and no memory of where he had come from.
Griff took him in and promised to help him find out. In return he asked him to use what he had for people. Night Ape works DeGen Alley and the Docks, the two places the League's authority does not properly reach, and he does not recognise the ruling that keeps the police out of the harbour.
He turned down a place in the League. His argument was that he would be more use close to the people it was not reaching.
