Amy was among the first people Genesis City called a hero. During the war she became famous for fighting gangs and standing between them and anyone who could not fight back.
Politicians offered money. Companies offered influence. Everyone assumed she would take the deal, become an idol and leave the community behind, and she has admitted she was tempted.
She refused all of it, publicly, and the city made her pay: a media campaign accused her of helping the gangs, and her reputation collapsed. She kept working anyway.
A tiger named Kato eventually found her and told her that her refusal was the reason he had started doing the same thing. She and Kato were the first two members of the League. When the politicians tried to install him as leader, she braced for him to take it. He did not, and her respect for him has never fully recovered from the surprise.
